Dr David Whish-Wilson is currently a lecturer in Creative Writing at the School of Language, Arts & Media at the University of the South Pacific in Suva, Fiji. Prior to this he was a lecturer in the Centre for Aboriginal Studies at Curtin University. He was born in Newcastle, NSW but has lived in Singapore, Japan, Africa and Europe. He has published many short-stories and has been twice shortlisted for the Vogel/Australian Literary Award. His first novel, ‘The Summons’ was published in January 2006 by Vintage.
