Dreadlocks 2007

The Journal of School of Language, Arts and Media
The University of the South Pacific

Invites submissions for 2007 Dreadlocks.


Dreadlocks is the yearly publication of the School of Language, Arts and Media at the University of the South Pacific. Dreadlocks is published as a refereed journal. Electronic submissions only are solicited and should follow the journal guidelines and be in the MS-Word format. Email submissions to (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Final date of submissions is April 30th 2007.


Notes for Contributors

Length: Normally a maximum of 5,000 words for journal articles, shorter or longer submissions considered on their merits. Endnotes are encouraged, with their use minimized by inclusion in text. Use superscript to indicate endnotes. Normally short poems, short stories and one act plays are encouraged to enable multiple author publishing. Extracts from longer works may be considered if accompanied with suitable explanatory author notes. Reviews of published work relevant to the Pacific should follow normal guidelines for literary journal publication and be restricted to less than 1,500 words. 

Abstracts: 100-200 words to accompany each journal article.

Titles: Brevity and accuracy to be aimed for.

Referencing: Latest version of the MLA system.

Author Copies/Offprints: Each author receives 2 copies of the journal and no offprints of articles are given.
