I am of mixed ethnicity (Samoan/Indian/Irish/Solomon Islander. I identify as a Fiji citizen and a pacific islander: more specifically as a Samoan even though my father was an Indian. This is because of the strong cultural influence of my Samoan grandmother particularly after my father’s death. Professionally, I focus on issues of diversity, culture, multiculturalism, identity, states and levels of consciousness and their place in education (teacher ed and mainstream).

In my writing, I chose to explore relationships of and between people, people and the earth, the cosmos and our place in this space and state that we only inhabit temporarily. I write on mixed ethnicity, identity, and states of being focusing on the elements of the written and the heard sound as well as the seductivity of words and language.
