smoke smudges on the edge of morning we follow a saddling line across your shoulders & weather what’s not already naked. lingering ripples of a car below on the highway line through lowlands. listen carefully: these sandstone hills are a phase composition, hear crust pressure folding them.

how to distinguish the various shades of grey? (via texture & timbre). set some parameters for seeing – people behind, distant hills (all smaller than me), lines converge at the horizon. at swift height wind vision awash with khaki humbling even trees (seen at greater altitudes as inert potentialities).

standing on the shoulders of the Old People, the process is pushing the softness outwards & trying to stop moving. listen carefully: a fern curling towards the sun. on the rockface, figures that may or may not be ancestoral beings & a system of &s (the continuation of a series). a swamp wallaby waits to cross the highway.
