Kavita Jindal is a poet who was born and brought up in India. She has lived her adult life in England and Hong Kong.

“Raincheck Renewed” her second collection of poetry was published by Chameleon Press in January 2004. It has become a poetry bestseller in Hong Kong, the city that provides the backdrop for several of the poems in the collection.
Kavita tackles a range of issues in an oblique manner.  Of her work, a critic has said, “ Her work is accessible and fun to read, but at the same time, it has depth and complexity. It’s great to find poetry which is both funny and serious.”

Over the years Kavita’s writing has evolved into a conversational style, offering short, sharp bursts of contemplation and fun. She hopes to show that poetry can be a part of a modern urban life and appeal to a wide public, alongside other popular art forms.
