Previous experience: In 2003, SHIONA was hired by the City University of Hong Kong as their only full-time, in-house, native English Editor and Writer in the Communications (formerly Publications) Office, charged with building the University’s image, and developing and facilitating internal/external communications. She wrote for and edited the University’s print and online publications, including Bulletin and Linkage (newsletters), CityU Today (magazine) and the CityU NewsCentre (website).

In addition, on behalf of the University President, SHIONA wrote corporate messages, which appeared in brochures and in the media. She contributed to the design and content of CityU’s 2002-03 Annual Report and developed a key fundraising brochure for the University.

EDUCATION: SHIONA is a University of Toronto graduate with further qualifications in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and Crisis Communications and Strategic PR.
