Syrup

Thursday, July 06, 2006

I look into your eyes
At the seawall
My fingers dipping into syrup
You climb in my gaze
Squishy pancakes
Wondering love
Wandering lust.

I bite pancake
Syrup squeezes into my mouth
Your gaze flowing into my heart
Syrup dribbling from the corners
That quirky smile on your lips
I offer you some,
You say no.

With plastic knife,
I scoop, spread syrup
Onto pancakes
A pinch on my back from you
Your hair tingly on my back

You lean closer
to check if I finished eating
My heart drowning
In your look
Syrup dribbles down my mouth
You lick it clean,
Moist.
