What about a bit of me?

What about a bit of me at Ray’s,
leafing through some glossy art mags,
getting paper-cuts on the glamour, high on the shine of grunge
chinoiserie, the aesthetic and vibrant Chinese? Is this my potential
affiliation? The spunky brother of Economic Reform? Chilled Riesling,
high ceilings, sex larger than life, and the colour spectrum
pumped up like an American TV commercial; dialed as the fat man
with the cash and the juvenile tie, pink, teddy-bear deviance: this is attractive.
This is Chinese, something those on Beijing buses in dust-covered jackets
mostly don’t relate to. Those who wait to eat to get out the flesh. Porky,
as a dissolute, fashionable warehouse to the high-life,
cresting Slurry Hills.
