Singapore Writers Festival
The Singapore Writers Festival (SWF) is Singapore’s only national literary festival and major literary event. To date, it remains one of the few, if not the only, literary festival in Asia that is multi-lingual, focusing on four languages used in Asia: English, Malay, Chinese and Tamil.

The Utan Kayu International Literary Biennale tours Indonesian and international writers to a number of Indonesian cities.  A series of dynamic, live performances by authors is followed by discussions with audiences. The focus is on readings, often in the native tongue of the writer. A wide appreciation of the work being performed is assured by translations displayed on a projection screen next to the stage.
