This workshop forms part of the groundwork for an APFRN-funded symposium “Jewish Memories of China: transnationalism, identity and the half-way port” to be held in 2009.

The symposium is one of a number of events funded nation-wide, on the theme “Crossing Borders of Cultural Meanings in the Asia Pacific”.
